Farm Division

   Director Steve Rechsteiner

Hello, my name is Steve Rechsteiner, I will be the Farm Director for 3B baseball again for the upcoming 2010 season. I have been coaching in 3B Baseball for the last five years, and will be coaching in the Pee Wee division again this year. I have been associated with the game of baseball all of my life as either a player or coach. I am looking forward to the upcoming season, and I am committed to making it a fun and positive experience for you and your children.

The Farm division is where it all starts. Your children will start to learn the game of baseball in this league. They will develop the basic skills and fundamentals of the game of baseball, and learn to play through the team concept. They will learn the concept of sportsmanship, and will be expected to exhibit it at all times.

The coaches in this division, and every division of 3B should be commended for the tremendous job they do year in and year out. None of the coaches are paid for their time. They strictly volunteer time out of their busy schedules, and time away from their families to make this the best place to play baseball in southeast Michigan, and northwest Ohio. Simply put, the coaches and countless volunteers are the ones who make this league what it is today.

The Farm division grew by almost 10% in 2009. I would hope this trend continues as we move forward into a new season. Let’s continue to grow and make this the most fun place to play baseball in Michigan.
