| 2010 Colt Division Director: Carey Rakich Hello, my name is Carey Rakich. This will be my second year as the Colt Division Director for 3B Baseball. I have had the privilege of coaching the Rangers in the Farm division, the Reds in the Pee Wee division and the Giants in the Minor division. This will be my 6th year on the 3B Board of Directors. I grew up in North Canton, Ohio, and had the opportunity to play in the local Little League Baseball organization. After Little League, I played for my high school baseball team, the Hoover Vikings. I also participated on several travel teams during my high school career. Last
year, we implemented several improvements the Colt Division. These changes included:
Overall, these improvements were very positive. We were able to grow the division from 6 teams to 8 teams. This year my goal is to grow the division to 10 teams. I am optimistic about this, but it may be a stretch. Last year, we entered into an agreement with the River Raisin Conference to play 4 games per team against the River Raisin Accelerated Division. Feedback from these games was extremely positive. This allowed our teams to travel to two "away" games at one of the local Monroe county High School stadiums. The 3B teams posted a respectable record of 10 wins out of 31 games. This year, we are going to continue all of the positive changes from last year, including the agreement with the River Raisin Conference. If there is anything I can do to help, or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly. Thank you to all of the volunteers who make this league the best baseball experience in the area. Play
Ball! Thank you.
